Is the cPanel/WHM addon right for me?
Hi all
I'm working for a graphic design agency and our intention is to build our sites in c5 from now on. In that vein, I'm trying to work out how best to set out our hosting. I was looking at the cPanel/WHM addon but I'm not sure whether it is quite right for us.
We don't resell hosting - we host people's websites on our own server, but they don't have access to cPanel (except in some cases for webmail).
Does it sound like the addon is the right thing for us? I'd like to run many sites off one server, being able to update them centrally and create new ones easily without having to do a fresh install for each. The billing stuff sounds really good too - automated billing would be a real step forward for us.
The reason I'm not clear is because it's not obvious (to me, anyway) whether the addon is aimed at resellers or at people who will control the hosting but who want to run many c5 websites off their server.
Any help would be much appreciated :)
EDIT: sorry, I just noticed there is a Questions form on the addon page - but it probably makes sense to ask about it here anyway to get other users' experiences.

First off WHM/cPanel and WHMCS are different things. WHMCS handles billing and support and "the business stuff". WHM/cPanel is just server management stuff. Lets you provision accounts, etc.
Our add-on is for WHM/cPanel... we use WHMCS for our own hosting and its nice, but you don't need to.
Our add-on will do a great job of letting you centrally manage upgrades.
If you want to give your clients access to cPanel, you can- but you don't have to.
Our add-on will make it easy to install concrete5 on a new account you provision for your clients.. That's about it though. It's not a reseller tool on its own.
