Is the (I Belong Membership) add on no longer available?

I've been looking for this add on and I can no longer find it here.

It's still available, from what I can see. Below is a direct link:

If you are not able to view it, it is likely because you aren't on the PRB.

Hi All.

My add-on was just approved. Seehttp://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/lerteco-membership-comm... .

It currently supports sales of "products" which are linked to one or more groups which the user is placed into on a successful transaction.

It currently supports only Paypal and non-automatically-recurring payments, though those are both options that I'd consider adding in if there are enough requests.

Well I do how something like it comes back. I had a great idea that I wanted to run with. Thanks for clearing this up.

I might be able to help, I just finished developing something for a client to deal with subscriptions. You can PM me, I'll give you details.

I'm wondering about the status of this.

I've used the iBelong add-on on other sites in the past, it worked to my satisfaction. Anyone have further information about why it was pulled?

I've looked at the Simple Subscriptions add-on, but that sends the user to PayPal's website to set up the recurring payment. Not good if you want users to remain on your site throughout the subscription process.

I know that the e-commerce add-on can now add users to a group when they purchase a certain product, but it doesn't send out "please renew" emails when their subscription is expiring. I guess I can custom code this, but iBelong did it out-of-the-box.

Thanks in advance for any information anyone can share.

To my knowledge, it was pulled because the developer wasn't supporting it anymore. And, also as Frz said above, it didn't work as expected.

Hi. I'm currently finishing up something like this for a client. I'd done it once before, but it was very specific. The previous version also was a bit of a bear to set up. It relied on creating paypal "buttons" in order to define price, recurring status, etc, and then provide the button IDs to concrete5.

I rewrote the current version to be more flexible, with an eye to putting it into the PRB (because IBelong was in the process of getting yanked). However, it *currently*:

1. Only supports placing a user into groups for an unlimited or fixed duration. But it doesn't email to remind them that their subscription is expiring (which would be really easy to add), and doesn't use Paypal's "recurring products", which would be a bit harder, though my first add-on did, so I have a lot of the code lying around.

2. It only supports Paypal's "redirect" API. I did, however, build it to be flexible enough to use other payment processing, including Paypal's "pro" API. My current client didn't want to deal with PCI (including the added hosting / SSL cert and auditing costs), which I find to be typical. It would be relatively easy to add the API calls, but slightly more difficult to add the form and error handling to manage both local errors (e.g. user didn't enter their name) and processor-generated errors (e.g. credit card number didn't authorize).

My current solution is solidly built and flexible. I'm planning on testing it with the current client over the next few weeks then submitting to the PRB (which means it might not be available for purchase for another 2.5 months...), but I'm open to working with someone as a "launch customer" in addition to my current client, but it kinda depends on how much additional functionality they would need.

James, I am looking for something like this for use with some Chamber of Commerce Websites. Is this in PRB?

Yes.... Since Apr 8.... With no problems other than having to rename a function...

What's your schedule like? If you post / PM me your use case / requirements, I can give you the gap analysis from its current feature set.

You might also like this add-on:

It is purely made for Paypal Subscriptions, easy and simple.
Users are automatically added to a user group, and you can use Concrete's permission-system for a membership-website.
