Local meet-ups in progress in Tokyo and Fukuoka, Japan!
I'm pleased to announced that we are working to organize the local meet-ups in Fukuoka, and Tokyo (Finally).
If you happen to live in Fukuoka and Tokyo, please PM me. Nothing has been set yet. We just decided to start one. So any comments are welcomed for a couple days from now.
Nagoya meet-ups is happening on the every 2nd Sat of the month. Next meet-up is on Feb 12th.
Next Osaka (Kansai) meet-up will be held in Kobe on Feb 26, 2011. They haven't determined the regular schedule, yet.
I'll be mainly attending Nagoya meet-up (since it's 30 min away from my home) so I can assist you in English. The rest of the meet-ups will be in Japanese.
The main reason why I can actively start organizing the local meet-ups is because I started a live streaming show of concrete5 towards Japanese audience.
At the beginning, the simultaneous viewers were about 10-20. Now the average simultaneous viewers increased upto 30-50 viewers.
Every week, avg. 100-200 total viewers are watching our show.
It took me 3-4 months for my viewers to start engaging. But once the viewers started participating, their move were really quick.
4 local meet-ups will be launched within the half year in Japan.
Anyway, quick updates from Japan.
