Looking for one more guide with Superfish.

This has been one of the most educational add-ons that I have ever messed with. But... I have one more issue. Today I learn that C5 and using Superfish I can disable the link for the parent of the drop-down. However, doing this has also killed the active state of the parent item.
I had styled it originally so that even if the user were to visit a sub-menu page. The parent of that menu would have stayed in it active state.
Now that I used the attribute "Dont Link in Navigation," I have lost my active state.
Is there a way to restore the active state without having to restore the link.
