Marketplace Questions

It appears as though a developer has no control over the licensing of the add-ons they create. Is that correct? When I click the license link for a product, the same C5 license appears for everything.

Is it possible to make an add-on available with 2 prices - a single site license and multi-site license?

Also, is it acceptable for a developer to announce new submissions to the marketplace? If so, where?

by default everyone using the standard marketplace license. you can enter your own, but it may not be approved.

no, currently there isn't a way to do multi-site licenses, but we're thinking of a way to handle something like discounts for multiple purchases.

not sure about the last one

I've got another marketplace question...

Package submission guidelines state the following...

"To keep them unique, please append your username to the start of handles, such as tony_stats for a package's file name and TonyStatsPackage for a package's classname. This unique username prefix should also apply to any tables and blocks your package needs."

... but none of the add-ons I've downloaded so far have followed this guideline. Just wondering how strictly the "prepend username" guideline is enforced.

we used to require handles that started with people's user names, to avoid collisions, but now the marketplace submission process does those checks, so it isn't totally necessary anymore. i still do it out of habit, and still kinda think it's a good idea on things (tables, css, classes, etc) just to prevent naming conflicts.
