Member meetings in the UK

Hi
Just wondered if there would be any interested in a monthly or bi-monthly "Concrete5 Club Meeting" such as the ones held by Franz in Portland???
Nothing formal, just a bit of a get together at a pub/cafe/street corner....
Just a thought but might be a way of creating a good concrete5 network here in "sunny" England...
Personally, I'm based down south near Eastbourne/Brighton way, hit me up with your thoughts...

Sounds like an idea. I'm up in the far east of Gloucestershire so Brighton is a bit of a hike but if the suns out it would be a nice thrash down on the bike every so often.
I only just found this post. We are Bournemouth based so would be keen for anything down South.
I have not checked for a while but pretty sure there still is no UK meetup. I think we should organise one?

Hey
Yeah it would be cool to organise a get together but havent had much response for down south as you can see.
I figured on Brighton as it was a bit of a "landmark" but maybe this is a little too "down south".
Now I'm no programmer, by any means, but due to the brilliance that is Concrete5, I have managed to build quite a lot of sites that I'm proud of :)
I just thought it would be cool to get a wider variety of abilities in one place in an informal manner. I'd be happy to discuss this further with anyone wanting to get involved. I'll promote the possibility a little harder through social media etc and see if I get more interest.

I really feel like there's an awful lot of concrete5 stuff going on in the UK but we're not doing a great job organizing it. Either we need to make a UK section here, or someone in the UK needs to take the reigns and build their own community site like katz has done for Japan.
I can tell you from my own email and skype list, there a lot of shops based out of the UK doing concrete5 work, they're just not communicating.
As I write this I think I'm deciding we need to go out of our way to solve this here.

Hey Franz
Ok so would you be happy for me to set up a concrete5.co.uk site and make a start?
What's the "protocol" for this set up? Feel free to pm me details of how you'd prefer to work things.
