Message board and log in tied together
Permalink
Is there a way to get my message board and log in(using the log in block supplied) to be the same so members do not have to register twice, and their username is usable everywhere?
So you're saying that if I buy the software provided, that uses the log in I already have, not another sign up?
If younger using the concrete5 discussions add on that should be how it works.
If younger using another forum, no we don't have single sign on with other forum software today
Best wishes,

Ok, so if I buy it and it doesn't work out how I want, is a refund possible?
err younger = you are... !@#%! autocorrect..
There's a demo of the forums from it's addon page:

generally the refund policy is :
o.. It'll work
o.. It'll do what it says it does.
I can't promise it'll make you rich or teach your kids spanish or anything. ;)

I guess you would have to bridge the two systems by making your message board system read user account information from the concrete5 database. This requires decent knowledge of PHP, databases and modifying third party software.
In all honestly, it can take quite a bit of work to get two pieces of software that were not built to be together to play nicely. While not impossible, bridging messaging system is usually a time consuming and complex task.
