Missing Projects
Permalink
I have a couple of add-ins that are assigned to a particular site. I wanted to release those licenses from that site, but when I visit my projects page, that site is no longer listed.
Is there a way to re-add the project or an alternate way to release the license?
Thanks.

Just to point out to anyone else reading this later, there's no technical reason why installing by hand via FTP would give you a different add-on experience than the one click. Might make it easier for you to install it on multiple sites/stages, but you can also just release license from the project page.
No worries either way, just wanted things to be clear for other readers.

If you are getting the URL of the project page by going to your own
site and grabbing it from the add functionality area, that's your
project page. It doesn't matter if the URL is listed on the found
locations section of that project page yet or not.

It turns out the client has rebuilt this particular site, so it's no longer using C5. Meaning there's no way to log in and reconnect to the market.
well that project page should still exist from the Projects list on whatever account here you made.
No, that was the initial issue. The site isn't listed on the projects page.
Was your account the one that connected it in the first place?
I'm not really sure where to go from here.. This is what I'm getting out of the thread:
1) You have add-ons that were associated to a site.
2) The site is now no longer built with concrete5/or live.
3) You don't know the URL of the project page for that site.
4) You're not seeing it from your account history.
Correct?
uhhh... if you look through your transaction history you should be able to find all the licenses you've ever purchased there, along with links to which project page they are associated with.

Sorry, yes. That's the gist. I built a site, connected it to the market, purchased an add-in, installed said add-in, turned site over to client. Since then, client has shut down my site. And the project is no longer listed on the projects page. So the add-in is kinda orphaned somewhere...

thats your purchase history. Each license shows up there and will
either have a download archive link, or a link to the project page its
associated on.
If you don't see it there, perhaps you have more than one account here?

Right. The add-in is assigned to a project. When I hover over that project name, I see a URL to a specific project, but when I select it, the page that loads ishttp://www.concrete5.org/profile/projects,... which does not include this projet.
hmm. can you send some screenshots pointing out which license it is to
Julia (at) concrete5.org?
thx

Will do. Thanks for your help.
I am having the same issue. An addon is showing it is assigned to a project that doesn't exist on my project page. Please help!
I can help. What license and what project?
Its the eCommerce add-on and its assigned to a project that doesn't exist anymore and does not show up on my project list.
That license should be restored and listed as unassigned.
I have the same problem:

Assigned to project Web Design
Website and domain name do not exist anymore.
I cannot release the add-on.

Ok, I'm looking into it. I'll let you both know when the licenses are restored.

Tis' available now.
Thanks for that.
Thanks for that.
However, if the site is not connected to the site then the licenses shouldn't be attached to the site and if you go to your Transactions in your account your licenses for the Add-ons should be available for you to assign.
I personally prefer to manually install Add-ons using an FTP to first test the Add-on and if I like it then I assign it to the site. So yeah you can using an Add-on on a site without assigning it to the site but I don't promote that because when the Add-on needs to be updated you can't do that unless the license is assigned to the site the Add-on is used on.
