My edits often don't show up to the public

I understand I need to "approve" each page I edit, but often times when people look at my site it displays a much older version with none of my updates and changes. I approve each page and log off and it still wont display the updates

Any help would be much appreciated for I am frustrated and not a pro at this. Thanks!

Try going to "Dashboard->System and Settings->Cache and Speed Settings" and check what caches are turned on. Try turning them all off and clearing the cache and see what happens.

It's also possible that some of your users should clear their browser caches as well. I've seen some browser setups that don't check for new content. To verify if it's the user's browser, ask then to refresh the page using CTRL-F5.
