Hello,

For the last few days, I have encountered a problem when attempting to go to a page from my homepage. I can click on any page that is listed on my navigation bar, and when the new page comes up, it is always my homepage.

Obviously, this will not do. Can someone tell me what is going on, and what I need do to correct this problem.

Thank you.

It's really hard to say without more information. When you hover over the links to the other pages, does the status bar of your browser show the proper URL, or does it show the home page's URL? Can you log into the dashboard and go to the sitemap, and maybe post a screenshot of that here? Have you added any content to the home page or is it just a header and a sidebar at this point (it's possible it is actually showing the other pages but they don't have any different content than the home page so it looks the same)? When you go to those other pages does it redirect you to the home page or does the URL in the address bar of your browser show the page's URL, just with the home page's content?

I am going to try to answer your questions, if I can remember them.

All of my pages at this time have been either partially or almost completely designed. At least those that I have so far. When i hover my curser over the page name in the navi bar, I do not see any change in my browser address bay unless I click on the page name.

As of now, having done what tallacman below suggested, clearing out my catch, I am now able to access my pages. However, I have no idea what is meant by a secondary address out side of it meaning another address. I would have NO idea what I would enter into that box.

Since I am now able to access my pages, the page name and address does show up in my browser address bar,and the page shows up, before when I would click on the page name, it would appear, but I was sent back to the homepage in the process of changing pages, it rerouted itself midstream.

Check that you page exists in the sitemap. Check the attributes of the page from the sitemap and see if it has a secondary url (besides the canonical). and make sure your canonical url isn't your home page.

You can also clear the site cache and and refresh your database for the Sitewide Settings > Debug. I also use Nontab Scheduler to run the System & Maintenance every day.

I did as you suggested, and cleared my cache ( I have NO idea what a cache is ) and everything is working correctly now.

I also checked upon the canonical addresses of my pages, and they were correct. I have NO idea once again, what a Secondary address is, other than it being another address. I would have NO idea what I would enter into that box.

I had the site maintenance set at every four days, but I will change that to everyday if you believe that to be better.
