neeto add-on lets you map multiple domains to a single concrete5 install easily.

I'm not sure about this, but i think - domain mapper add-on or basic part of this add-on could be integrated into the 5.4.0 core as a fundamental function in Concrete5. Is it possible?
do you really think this is a core feature? i don't really, cause how many site's really need to map multiple domain names? like 1-5%? if something is used on most sites, then sure, i can understand why there'd be a desire to add that to the core. seems like adding too much stuff there would just make it too confusing for newbees though.
I agree that only about 5-10% of sites would need this feature. But it's not another block/dashboard page add-on, now or in the near future domain mapper could have high dependancy between core libraries/helpers/models. So, the real reason is: "Anything that will make a fundamental change to the way concrete5 works which would impact all add-ons and benefits the community/project is free", not popularity of this feature.
well, that's a descent argument. i've been thinking about making my file/image details block free for that reason too, since a few other blocks sort of require it. i still sort of disagree though, partly because concrete sort of needs to be able to charge for some stuff and this is one that isn't required by small sites with tight budgets. but what kind of stuff do you think would be dependent upon this code? where's that quote from btw?
"what kind of stuff do you think would be dependent upon this code"
i wasn't using this add-on ever, so it's just a couple of mere inferences.
I wonder, how exactly domain mapper works. How links in auto-navigation block are replaced with the right one.

I agree. How about splitting domain mapper into two parts: one is free and goes inside the C5 core, and second is dashboard utils as an add-on in marketplace.
P.S. Quote is from the official blog:
