Newb here - Two Questions: Photo Gallery & Photo Framing

Designer not a developer here. I have two questions one is how do I spec the photo gallery to show new updates at the top vs bottom.

Another question is it possible to change the color of the photo frame. (non gallery pics)

Client is doing her own updates.
