Newbie Question: What am I missing?

OK, thanks. Is it possible to "publish" without going to the "exit edit mode" page?

Have you publish your changes? Use the toolbar on top. See the attachment for more infos.

Thanks, Marius. That solves one part of the puzzle.
But now I can't find a new page I created. I can find it in the dashboard under "sitemap" and when I click on "visit" it takes me to this URL:

http://www.uusarasota.com/concrete/index.php?cID=55...

But I cannot find any trace of it once I leave the dashboard and the above URL no longer works.

Any clues you can extrapolate from that?
