I have been working with Concrete5 on and off for about a month now. I have a couple of questions.

I enabled maintenance mode for my site hoping that I could continue working on it while it was offline to the public. Unfotunately, when I clicked return to site from the dashboard it says " the site is down for maintenance". I thought enabling maintenance mode would still allow me to continuing modifying the site privately. Is this correct?

Also, because I enabled maintenance mode. When I tried to log back into my site as the administrator. It took me back to the "The site is currently down for maintenance message" without the dashboard. I found another thread that suggested I type:

site.com/index.php/dashboard

to get back to my dashboard. It worked but should Concrete5 allow an admin to go directly to the dashboard without typing the above?
