Oops, purchased addon under WRONG concrete5.org account

Permalink 2 users found helpful
I connected my new site I'm building to a new account on concrete5.org. Yet, when I went to purchase an addon, it got purchased in my older account... now I can't use it in my site.

Is there a way to disconnect from the marketplace and reassociate my site to my old account?

Or is there a way to move the license of my purchased addon to the new account?

Or do I just buy it again and try to get a refund??? thanks so much in advance for any help...
Gary

Okay here's what you (or anyone) can do if you've got add-ons you purchased with one account here - and that's not the same account you made a project page with.

1) Login to concrete5.org with the account you made the project page under.

2) Goto the "management team" section of the project page. This lets you add multiple concrete5.org users to the project page. Add the user name (again on concrete5.org) that your purchased the add-on in question with.

3) Logout, and log back in as that user you made the purchase with.

4) Navigate to the project page, which you now have access to. Assign the license in question to the project page

5) Goto your own site's Dashboard > Add Functionality tab and the add-on will now be available for download and install.

tada!

Hi Franz,

I accidentally disconnected my localhost site from the community assuming that I needed to 're-connect' it under its final domain on the web. Because of the installation problems described here:

http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/mysql-case-insensitive-...

I havent been able to complete the installation on the web.

So now I have a disconnected local, dev version and a non-functioning version at the web server. I cant reconnect my local version so now I'm stuck.

What can I do???

Thanks

just release the add-on licenses from the old page, and add them again to
whatever project page the site makes when you connect it to the community
now.

Hi Franz,

Thanks so much for your reply.

I cant reconnect the site to the community and get this error: "Your site token is already in use.". Since I can't complete the installation on the production server due to the mysql table naming convention issue I mentioned earlier I'm not sure where to go now.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

if you release the add-on from your old project page, you can then download
the package from your licenses page under purchase history in my account.
It's less than ideal, but it sounds like a manual install might make sense
for you tonight.

best wishes

Hi,

Right, except when I go to the project page on my account there are none ("You have not connected any sites to the concrete5 community.").

When I said that I "I accidentally disconnected my localhost site from the community" I meant that I had gone to my account on concrete5 and removed it from the projects list.

:(

With assigning the license as mentioned by Franze, will the site owner be able to update the add-on when there is a new version available?

nope, you gotta have your site connected to the community with a project page and licenses properly assigned if you wanna get update notices.
