Opera 10.50 is final -- "The fastest browser on earth"

Hey guys,

Just wanted to send the word that Opera 10.50 is now final on Windows (with the Mac and Linux builds close behind).

If you haven't checked out Opera before, it sports faster Javascript performance than Chrome (in most tests), faster rendering performance and includes features like a full-featured Javascript debugger, email client, IRC client, mini-web server (Opera Unite -- share music, pictures, files, etc easily), network compression, mouse gestures, spell check, voice control, bittorrent, content blocking, text-to-speech, widgets ... all without bloat or clutter.

It's very rare that I'll encounter issues using it as my main browser. Very rarely I'll visit an older site which assumes that Opera isn't compatible. In those cases you can right-click (ctrl-click) the page, select "Edit Site Preferences", and tell Opera to spoof its ID for that page. I've also come to love its email (searching is FAST) and the content blocker comes in handy too. Facebook without ads? Why not?

Anyway, for those who already love Opera, or given it a try in a while, now might be the time to try the latest version:

If you're on a Mac or use Linux, you might also try the latest development build:
