Order of Drop Down Elements in Auto-nav

Is there a way to control the order of the drop down elements in auto-nav the same way you can control the order of display of the top level elements? Client wants some items to be moved up in the drop down list and the system just seems to display the pages in the order they were entered into the system rather than like the site map order.

You should just be able to change the order of the child pages within the Sitemap and have it reflect in your drop downs. You can find more information on moving pages within the Sitemap here:

Unfortunately there is currently no such feature in the autonav block, but as Lucas already said, you can move things im your sitemap. Another option is to use a content block and manually insert the sitemap links.
This way you've more control over it. But it's no more automatically append with new pages.

Moving elements in the site map changes the order of top level pages but when I do it for the drop down pages it doesn't seem to change their order at all. The nav for this website is dynamic so I don't have the option to manually create the order of the nav.

That's odd,if they nav is dynamic and the first level items change it _should_ change the second level items. Is this a custom auto-nav template? Have you tried clearing your site's cache?

Could you also copy your custom template for the drop down tohttp://www.pastie.org and share it with us?

Thanks!

Yeah, it is odd. It should work as described. What version of concrete? There was a bug where the "order by sitemap order" in autonav didn't work in early versions of 5.4, but this is fixed if you update to 5.4.0.5
