OS Attitudes of Concrete
Permalink
Before I even begin on a rant I want to say I've been using Linux since about 1995(Windows even earlier)and currently run mostly OpenSuse 11.4 and Windows 2008 servers. I mostly have been using DNN for websites and have tried a long list of other CMS'. I had been looking at Drupal, and Joomla,(I had tried these a few years ago too and wasn't that impressed)then I found Concrete 5. So far I have been very impressed by the CMS especially the interface. Now on to my rant... Guys (and gals), it's 2011. Are we really still making childish jokes about OS'? Really? I noticed it in the install instructions and then saw this below when I saw my first badge here.(see quote below) I hope Concrete is more professionally coded than the tone of some of these comments. I have it running quite nicely on Wimblows 2008 R2 with IIS 7.5 and PHP 5.3. Thank You, Mike H

Thanks. I don't want to sound like a grumpy old man either. I really like most of the other attitudes you display on here... Like the fact that developer time and certain modules are worth paying for. Looking forward to "cementing" some Concrete sites in the near future..

Oh, and just to be clear, we were this immature way before we went open source. ;)
