Paypal problem
Permalink
OK. I don't know what I am doing.
I have a "Buy Now" button from paypal on my site. In the settings, I have a redirect after purchase back to another page on my site.
When I have tested it, Paypal can't find the page. So, I have tried in Google and it can't find the page.
I don't want to use pretty urls and I did not set that up.
I have gone into my preferences for the page and typed in the address. It matches what is in paypal and still no go. I can't get the page on google, either.
What simple thing have I missed?
Thanks,
Kevin

can you give us the actual link you're using?
It is supposed to be:
www.www.choosingaseminary.com/congratulations...
but explorer doesn't find it for me

i dont see anything there.. but i do at:
http://www.choosingaseminary.com/index.php/congratulations...
if you turned pretty URLs on and made the htaccess file it tells you to your example link would work.

Where do I find/make a htaccess file? :-)
I have seen the cut & paste section in pretty urls. I just don't know where to paste it.
Thank you for your help!

make it in the root of your webspace.. the file starts with a period..
.htaccess
.htaccess
if only I understood what you wrote. :-)
What is the root of my webspace and where do I find it? (remember my first post, I truly know very little)

just use the long url.
but that hasn't worked for me either.
The url I used was:
www.www.choosingaseminary.com/index_phpcid56...
(which is what is in the properties section for that page)
still no good. sigh.
