Practical limits to site size?

Talking with a client which has a site with more than 1,000 pages (which will grow), and the potential for nearly 20K user log ins for protected content. Too big to run on Concrete5? Joomla might be a better option, but I prefer the control over the site structure that Concrete5 offers.

not at all.

this site has over 250,000 pages and 10,000 visits per day. No problem.
There are other concrete5 powered sites at 10 times that size.
