prestashop website is taking too much time to load

I have a website which is on prestashop. I have tried almost everything but still site is taking approx 5-6 seconds to load on the server. Please suggest something.

Thanks for your reply. I have gone through the similar issue in prestashop forum. I have did some changes according to the guidelines but still facing the issues.

Hi - Could be a few things, but I expect it is possibly either:
- the amount of RAM on your server
- the fact that the site isn't being cached efficiently
- It may be a script/plugin that isn't performing correctly (try deactivating them 1 by 1 to find a culprit).
- It could just be down to the amount of content on your homepage - there are a lot of DOM elements on your homepage, and other pages are loading more quickly. Again, try removing blocks of content 1 by 1 until you find your page loads more quickly.
... Basically You'll need to do some troubleshooting...
I've just done a quick performance test on the site:

Your 'time to first byte' is slow (7.5 seconds) - this is the time your browser spends waiting on the web server to send back the data. Whilst this isn't the be-all-and-end-all, it can be a good starting point - Look here for more info + some ideas:
