Private Messages Question

Hi C5 fans,

I just got this email from a client who is using the C5 site I built for her as a community site. She has profiles & private messages enabled on it & I just got the question below from her. As this is the first site I have built & enabled these features I cannot answer her. Can anyone help me out here?

"I am just checking about the private messages. I seem to be sent all the messages, is this normal? Also a few Members are saying they are not receiving messages and that the sent messages are not in the sent items, can you let me know what is meant to happen?"

hmm that doesn't sound normal. I wonder if there might be funky mail settings. If the MX records aren't pointing at the same server, sometimes the server doesn't know how to deal with mail..

Or perhaps people have checked the "dont email me" checkbox in profiles?

I'll check the MX records with the Hosting providers. Thanks Frz. I'll let you know how I get on.

Got to the bottom of it. The idiots were trying to reply to the email that gets sent to them from the system. You know the one that says do not reply? Yeah that email.
