Publishing a Site

Trying to publish my site. I click publish, but when I type the web address into my search bar, it will not show up. My web server says to put an index.html file in the public_html file for the website.It still does not show up. Help much appreciated!

Is there a chance that concrete5 was installed into a subdirectory?
Installation is home/public_html/dir/***all the concrete files such as application,concrete etc.***. Not sure if this is correct?

You may want to consider relocating your site back to the public_html directory (ie, without the dir). That can be done, but requires care.
