the sites don't exsist no more (testing stuff etc... crashing systems... - i'm good at that kind of stuff it seems)

i have re-created the same site several times... and it shows up several times, but no way to remove them?

Ok, I've moved a site to a VPS. How do I get that site recognized in Membership Projects and the addons, or is it automatic based upon the "salt" encrytion?

-Also this new forum interface is not working well for me, I hope it gets fixed.

There does not seem to be enough room in the window to expose the "submit" button. For some reason this "reply" is better I can see the top few pixels of the submit, but when creating a new discussion, it is totally cut off.

Otherwise the new website is great.

Thanks.

Dear Michael,
The main site is now uploaded and working on a VPS. You suggested reconnecting normally. How do I "reconnect" is that done through the dashboard or something?

I found another note you wrote about a similar topic ..."in the Config table there should be 2 entries that have MARKETPLACE in them, just delete them and you can reconnect"

Is any of this what I would do?
I currently have 3 site instances of the same site, demo version, laptop version (uses wamp), desktop version (uses wamp).

Would like to add the current shyc-cc.org VPS website.
Do I need to delete entries in the config db?
Then go somewhere in the dashboard to "reconnect"?

Will the two marketplace addons be ok? They seem to work fin, or do I "reconnect" them too?

-You certainly have been a huge help to everyone. Kudos! and Thank you.

Rick

I am new to concrete5. I have developed a site and I have downloaded several "free" add-ons, and used them. Now I have purchased as add-on and it says it cannot download it to my page as I do not have a project page. How is this done?

On my dashboard, under add functionality, it says I am connected to the concrete5 community. There is no way to add a project.

How do I do this?

thanks,
Kathy

Hi Kathy,

I responded to your email a few minutes ago. You had two accounts on concrete5.org, one that had downloaded a number of free licenses and assigned them to a project, then another account that had purchased a license.

For the benefit of anyone else who may read this in the future, looking to solve a similar problem: the easiest way to solve this is to connect your accounts to the project by adding the second account to the project's Management Team. See this how-to for more info:

So 2 years? nothing yet? Archiving/deleting Projects would be a great thing. Us programmers like to have everything organized properly

It's already been there, and has for quite a while.

What about if you want a different owner for a site? I developed the site for a client, and I associated it with my account, but now he wants a bunch of addons that he is going to pay for, so is there a way to disassociate a site on your projects page or switch it to another user?

When I initially created my site I did it as a sub folder i.e. patriotflight.com/gn - this way the site could be redesigned while the existing site was still up. I had to connect this site to the community in order to register some of my add ons. When I moved the site back to the "regular" domain. I had to reregister it. It now lists the site /gn as the MASTER site and the "regular" site as the child site. When I try to add a paid for (Crimson Red) add on, it adds it to the foldered site and the add on does not work. I need a way to delete both of these sites, then reconnect the now live site back into the community. Although the archive function is great, there needs to be a way to COMPLETELY DELETE a site from the projects page.

Any help on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

When you get an add-on/theme, be they free or not, you can choose which project page to assign the license to.
The only reason it would assign it to an archived project is if you told it to.
Simply release the license from the project page you don't want it on, and assign it to the project page you do.

The "Master/Stage" thing is completely meaningless and will go away soon.

Perhaps the video here will help:

I have tried to add the add on to the master/stage sites (as they are considered one), but the paid for add on does not work.

if you've got the add-on listed on the project page that the site is connecting to, it should be able to install.

Perhaps something unrelated is going on, are you sure the new server environment has CURL working? Did it download at all or no? What does "not work" mean?

I removed the project from the add on. In the new site, I redownloaded it from the add on area. Once it was installed, I went to one of my pages and tried to add a block. It is not in the list of blocks.

is that a theme? Have you checked the design tab or the Pages & Themes section of your dashboard?
