Replacing Modx installation

Is there a way to upgrade a live Modx site (5 pages, a few Chunks and Snippets) to C5 or am I better creating a new site in a sub-folder with C5, deleting old files and moving new site to replace old ?

you'll have to start again, can't migrate yet.
just make it a directory under root, say your site is at:
google.com
make concrete5 at google.com/placeholderfolder/
then when you want to move it to root, go into dashboard-.settings, turn off cache, clear cache then move placholderfolder to root, go into config.php and make DIR_REL blank or "" <-that or ''<-same thing
