Request for Add-Ons
Permalink
In the past week or so I have purchased 2 Add-Ons and found them to be incompatible with the version of Concrete installed for the client. I know if I purchase through the site's dashboard, you get a warning, but often when searching in the Dashboard the results aren't as good, so I have the habit of using the Concrete site itself. Normally I will go back to the site and search by exact title. Tonight that didn't work ... I searched on a title and it wasn't found via the Dashboard though I found it on the Concrete site. I'm a little frustrated by this as now I have to rethink what option to use for these customers.
With 2 versions going forward, could we see Version compatibility in the Add-On page more easily. Like right at the top somewhere in BIG BOLD Print or a more obvious location than in the fine print?
I don't have the option to upgrade some clients as they are in the busy season and some sites have just launched. A client who just paid to have the site built isn't going to want to spend $$$ upgrading so soon.
Thanks for the consideration.

Theres a filter for 5.5 already in play, I attached a screenshot of the filters panel on the right hand side of marketplace with a pow symbol beside the one you want to click. Hope that helps.
That's helpful for 5.5 - Thanks!
I'd like a filter for 4.? ... In the case of my latest purchase, I got an add-on that wasn't compatible with the older version of Concrete. I will be able to upgrade later in the year after the county fair in Aug 2012. Almost all the updates for 2012 are done and now is not the time to update Concrete.
