screen greyed out after logged in

I have not signed into my site in a while. when i try to sign in, i am able to log in successfully however, everything is grayed out. i cant click on any part of the dashboard. Any thoughts? i am using ver. 5.6
Did you check if there are any JavaScript errors?
A client is having the same issue...I logged in under the super user credentials...and I am getting the SAME thing.
I was in it last week... into several... and this is the only one acting up.
No JS errors either.

Have you tried reloading shortly afterwards? I presume so, but... I've had issues with that stupid newsflow thing trying to load, but failing, and leaving you in a state with the overlay (ie, a grey page) showing but no way to dismiss it.
Thanks for the response... I have had the same thing but I have always been able to bypass it by going right into the dashboard...but not this time... it is on every stinkin page.Is there a way to disable that from the backend?
