I just completed building my site, can anyone please point me in the right direction and tell me how to improve my rankings in Google? Should this be done in my webhost menu (Hostmonster.com) or with my concrete5 editor menu? How do I go about doing this? I'm a complete nOOb to this stuff so take it easy on me lol.

There isn't a single answer how you can achieve that, SEO is not all about technical issues. It's important to have the technical issues correct but SEO is more like a process that you keep on doing to help your site get better ranking and reputation.
