Site Migration - Database Issues - Please Help

Hello All..
I have done a little research on this and have found that I am coming across the issue of when importing into a new db that i am having issues with case sensitivity.
Now I have found the add-on here

The Problem:
I install everything, import new db... everything shows up and functions fine. When I go to login, to run the above add-on, i get the following error.

mysql error: [-32000: Cache write error] in CacheExecute(/var/www/vhosts/importmotorwerks.com/httpdocs/files/cache/adodb_abd97d989552e6e5710e2b32adc54af2.cache, select ctID from PageTypes)

Once I have done that.. going back to the homepage gives me the dreaded 'blank white screen'...
I can't run this add-on if I can't even login. Any help would be much appreciated on this.

do you have access to the DB? go to the Config table, and where is says cache( or something like that) change it from 1 to 0
I will give that a try, however I did disable cache before I exported the db from the original installation.
