Hi
Does anyone know what may be causing my website to slow down? I have used Concrete a few times and never had this problem. The customer raised the issue so it's not be being fussy! It seems to pause for about 5 seconds whenever a new page is opened and this should not happen as the images etc. are optimised to be as small as possible.
I have tried all the usual solutions like caching etc. and the hosting is reliable and running fine with every other concrete site I have done.

Have you enabled caching?
Yeah it's not a caching issue thanks for your response though
I really can't see any reason why it should be this slow! No-one had this issue before?
Please try:
upgrading to C5 version 5.6.1.2 (HUGE improvement in time to first byte)
Optimizing file transfer ( you got a "C" onhttp://www.WebPageTest.Org )
Delete old page versions
try using full page caching on the home page
All should help, especially the version upgrade

Brilliant - I'll try those thanks ... it's the time to 1st bite that's the prob I think so I'll give that upgrade a go first! cheers
