sort registrant by attribute

Good maorning all! On my concrete website, i want to sort new mwmbers by categories. "Private" and "Public". I have created an attrubites on the registration form (do you want your info to remain private). If the choose "yes" i need to register into a different member group(Ex: membersprivate). Can anyone point me in the right direction ?
