Spam on Concrete5?
It appears, even Concrete5 isn't sacred and is subject to spam...How do I deal with this? Has anybody else had this problem? It definitely surprised me. I attached a screenshot of the message. Clearly this is spam. My profile isn't even filled out...
Looks like its already been dealt with and their account has already been deleted. :)
Oh good.
I actually found Franz' reply in another message. It appears the contact link is the way to go. Thanks
Yeah. It happens to all websites but the Concrete5 team are usually hot on their toes.
They may try again once or twice but once they realise how fast they get kicked, they then tend to give up and move on to other sites.
If you ever see any spammers, just report it to any member of the core team and they'll quickly send them to the nether regions of web.

Doesn't work with most spammers, but the lonely girl scam is meant to suck cash out of lonely men, and they do count on that email for their targets to respond, so I use to sign those emails up for spam when I come across them. There used to be sites with applications to give 2500 plus spam email bombs, and sign them up for all sorts of stuff in the longterm, but they seem to be gone now. Either way a small form of justice that took 2 clicks. Too bad the sites aren't there anymore, as it would render the email pretty useless, and possibly save someones wallet. Fight fire with fire.
Just got an obvious spam from the user sxlygkrx1981:

Is there a dedicated place to report such things?

As stated above just use the "Contact us" link in the footer, someone from core team usually zaps them pretty quick.
Thanks for letting us know. That was part of the batch we dealt with last week. The new spam stopping mechanisms we put in place seem to be holding them at bay for now.
