the only thing we've done here recently is disable APC, which mysteriously has a bug where it eats memory. The official answer to the bug in their forums is "here's a reboot script" so we just killed it for now.
It seems that as a whole some of c5.org is faster, while some pages like forum landing are slower.
Regardless, yes we'll be upgrading to 5.4.1 in the next couple of weeks.
