Start New Discussion not so user friendly.

Pressing escape should not exit the "Start New Discussion Window" !!! Just lost my entire post because I pressed escape when trying to add tags!
I usually copy the whole typewritten message to the clipboard just in case.
Same here, when I remember to. Discussion, PRB, PM, all have the same trap.
+1
Have done this many times as well and I can only imagine how frustrating this must be for new users.
I thought we were getting a new forum to eliminate a lot of these issues?
This ever going to happen Franz?

Yup. New forums will be built on top of version 7 using conversations, and will be far less modal.
No, I don't have a date for you.

Awesome news even if no set date :)
Great :)
The next C5 generation forum will support "md" (Markdown) syntax?
(like in GitHub or stackoverflow). Or any feature thats give you the ability to design the post (h2-h4, lists, bold etc.)

Hi Franz,
please-please-please give us a better forum!
on github - of course - issues are rejected when not dev-related.
IRC is not really user friendly.
and this forum is pure pain!
the switch form 5.6 to 5.7 wasn't that smooth the more we need a good place for information exchange.
thx!

I have done this many times. It is especially frustrating after writing a lengthy reply and then escaping the form modal by accident.
