Strange Image problem with slideshow

I have a problem with the slideshow images.
I use a theme based on the concrete default theme and use a set (set as in a proper concrete set) of images in the banner. One of the images displays just white. the strange thing is that when clicking the white area in the slideshow the image will open in a new tab and display properly. Also strange on my local development environment it works also correctly ... so it can't be the image itself.
I have cleared the cache, i have checked permissions etc.

By the way great CMS ... I don't think i have ever had a site without prior knowledge of the system up and running so quickly ...

works fine for me did you clear your browser's cache or just your site cache?
What browser and platform?
FWIW, you could shrink the file size of "the talent" image (pic of the guys) to less than 1/3 of its current size without any visible loss in quality, which would allow it (and the page) to load much faster. I'd check the file sizes of the other images as well.
