stupid problem - changing the title
Permalink
I have a trial page set up right now. I set it to have a new name "NYSCEEA". But the home page still has the title of "Concrete 5 Site" and it won't let me edit the title. If I switch to another free theme, the title shows up correctly. help?
Nevermind...I found it on scrapbook page
Well, I have the problem despite changing out the scrapbook and clearing the cache several times in the settings panel. Even used a different browser with blank cache.
This is not a fun problem at all. In fact, it is very silly, which makes it all the more frustrating.
--------
So...
While I'm on the subject, I'll point out some Documentation errors. The scrapbook is in GLOBAL (not "General"). When someone tells me to look for a certain something, THAT is what I look for. I almost didn't bother to click Global, but then I did out of curiosity. Similarly, it's not "settings," it's in SITEWIDE Settings where you clear and update the cache.
Either way, doing everything the documentation says to do, I got bupkis over here. Now, I have the stupidest of all possible titles which I can not remove.
It says MY SITE :: HOME :: HOME on the homepage.
Click the About page and it says
MY SITE :: HOME :: ABOUT.
Etc.
Looks retarded.

So... the real answer for C5 5.4.1 is this:
Go to Sitewide Settings and change the "Site Name" section (at top left).
Previous to eventually stumbling upon this, I changed it in Scrapbook > Global > My_Site_Name and nothing happened at all, as you can see by my previous post.

it depends on the theme you're using.
