template block not scrolling through jpegs when site is live

Hi All
Hoping to draw on your experience as I'm very new to this. I've created a webpage using the green salad theme which had a block on the home page which enabled jpegs to scroll, like a slide show. It works in admin mode while site is off line but soon as site goes live the block/slideshow is missing from page. Any ideas? Appreciate your time folks.

maybe there's some javascript library that's not being included when not in admin mode?

Thanks for responding. How and where would I check that? Also, would you know how to remove the "My Site" heading on each page of the template?
