templates with content in the template..

Hi folks,

new here... Ive tried looking for answers but I guess i'm not putting the right phases in.

heres the question:

I want all my pages to have a slideshow in them.
I want to be able to update the slideshow.

How!!??

I can create a template, fine, I get that.
I can put the slideshow in the homepage.
How can I add the slideshow to teh template so all other pages i make based on that template have the slideshow?
where would i then edit the slideshow globally?

i'm guessing global scrap book has something to do with this..

You want Page Defaults.

interesting.

I couldn't set Defaults as the Defaults button was greyed out. Iwas logged in as a user of the Administrators group, not the Admin itself.

Now I'm in as Admin, I cn see how easy it is - but how come I can't activate Defaults as a member of Administrator group??

by default, only the root admin can edit them, you can change this by going to index.php/dashboard/settings/access_task_permissions/
