Text Wrapping and Bullet points
Permalink 1 user found helpful
Hi Guys,
I have been using concrete 5 for a while now. In the 5.4 version, you can split the text boxes through the layout which is fine, but I am having a problem with adding a text and wonder if it's a bug or something else.
Basically I am adding text and it isn't wrapping in the columns, which means half of my information can't be seen. Anyone got any ideas?
Second thing is the bullet points. When I select them with the bullet point editor, they show in the editor but not on the live page. If I manually add these however in the Html editor, they appear. (I have attached a screen grab for both issues.)
Thanks
Gino

Are you pasting form word? If so use the "paste from word" selection in tinyMCE's editor. Word tends to through in a bunch of code that isn't needed and screws stuff up.
Hi Bryan,
Thanks for your reply. I am pasting from different areas, web; docs; notepad etc. I tried the method you suggested but it unfortunately did not work. Any other thoughts?
Thanks

What i normally do. (I have a mac). I open up "TextEdit"
Then I paste all of my content into that and I goto format and select "Make Plain Text".
You can also do this by pasting your content into a Smultron or any text editor.
Normally that knocks out all of the styles.

I agree with Bryan. Normalize your text and style it with the concrete5 editor. Also, no screen shots attached.
What I do most of the time with copied text is paste it in BBEdit and style it there and add it using the proper tags and then style it with external CSS.
Also, the actual url of the page will help immensely.
