Theme/Website review
Permalink
Hi to all C5 members,
Open offers of website review.
Need some help.....
Built my new theme and would like feedback on it.
Tested it on browsers available to me and a couple smart phones.
I would like to know how you see it and if you see it properly?
Don't have access to IE6, but it seems is OK in IE8 to IE10?
What do you see and does it work?
I built it on a MAC and all looks fantastic (as usual), but what about everybody else?
Supposed to be one page design?
maybe a bit heavy on HTML5 and CSS3?
So, thoughts please...
...just don't be too nasty!
Thanks
Steev

A link would be nice :-)
Might want to check it out in ie. Adobe browserlab is quite handy.
Not a huge fan of the green but that being said I'm quite picky when it comes to design.

i don't think you really need a break after your last main content block make more since to have the footer right there( and move the menu below it to the bottom)
Hello 12345j,
The space at the bottom is so the page section lines up with buttons at the top of the screen and doesn't stop in the middle.
@ThemeGuru
If you meant the slider is green, try a page refresh, it should be a blue gradient easing to grey on hover.

Not bad. It's nice a modern. I personally feel there are some colur palette clashes, and not enoguh space between the header navigation and the content. Plus I always feel that if your going to have a vertically scrolling page you should put a background behind the main nav so you don't see the content whizzing by underneath.
Apart from that nice code, good use of jquery and some good iconography.

Hi R1,
Thanks for the feedback, I did toy with the idea of a background strip under the nav.
The space between the nav and content was by design, but I might look at varying distance.
Also looking to put a fixed background image on top of the textured tile.
BTW: Are you seeing the drop shadow and gradient on each page section?
Thanks again

Yeah, probably because I am using FireFox 4 so if you have any CSS 3 elements I'll be seeing them ;)

I think the same about the Nav. A background would be nice.
Initially, when I got on the page it threw me off because I started scrolling down instead of clicking the links. Maybe it's just me but when I see a scroll bar on the side I just start rolling the scroll wheel. haha. Anyhow, I didn't like being about to see the content behind the buttons. When i started using your navigation bar, it was fine though. Good Job.
