Just wanted to drop in and say that.
Today was the first time I ever looked at Concrete5. I've been looking around a bit for a new simple to use CMS for clients to replace Website Baker as a solution, seeing as how WB seems to have hit the skids for development, and is starting to show it's age. Wordpress is great for what it is, but it's no simple CMS like this. I've done sites in Joomla - ughh, way way overkill for the vast majority, and try to explain the admin to end users - Drupal same thing, just way overcomplicated - tried many others too. Always came back to either Website Baker for simple sites or Wordpress for those that need it. Methinks C5 is now a top choice unless a blog format is required.
I took a static html template I developed for a new client and tested C5 today - all I can say is wow. Every time I went to try something I expected it to be complicated, so I kept coming back to this forum ready to ask a question - then I would say, hmmm, let's just try this - and it always worked. One day from template to working site, never having used this before. Very cool.
I keep expecting this to be more complicated. My clients will love this, and I don't have to train much more than 10 minutes (they won't generally use admin access to the dashboard).
The only feature I haven't seen that could be useful is a news posting block, where somehow, almost like a blog, users can post news items, show a defined amount of them, and archive the old ones so they are still accessible. Unless I've missed this feature somewhere. That addition would rock.
I may do up a couple of generic templates for the marketplace as freebies as a way of saying thanks for this. Thanks guys!

check out the page list block, it brings data back in the form you suggest its just a matter of making a custom template that suits your desires.
