Timed Release and Advanced permissions

I have looked through the forums, and I know there are a lot of people who are looking for the same functionality...right?
I had a question about Timed releases and Advanced permissions. The website I am working on currently has Advanced permissions added. I have tried to manually add a "Timed Release Setting" on the page, but it is currently now working the way I would like it to.
Is the functionality in concrete5 for a page to be published (first version) and then have another version of that same page go live to the public at a specified time while the first version is available for viewing until that specified time for the second version of the page to be released? Or is this something that others are working on?
