tmp folder question regarding failed updates
Permalink
Hi All
I don't quite know how to word this, but if you can help out a dummy, it is relevant to preparing for another attempt to update to version 5.6.0.2., and to gain a little more knowledge of file structure. So this is a somewhat open question.
Backed up database from dashboard as well as phpMyAdmin, and did an ftp backup to boot (took a really long time). But it was while that was happening I noticed it backing up identical information from httpdocs/files/tmp for 5.6.0.2 update (files and all, I think) that I thought I had deleted after last failed update attempt. Last time I got an attribution problem within the update.
I checked this folder after and could not find the update so I assume there are some commands written in to the 5.5.2.1 version currently running.? At any rate, before trying again, should I get rid of any tmp files? Should I update pkg from concrete5 welcome page or upload a version via ftp? Will the new version overwrite previous?
Best I could do with this...
Last error-
Fatal error: Call to a member function setAttribute() on a non-object in /web/stephenscott.ca/httpdocs/updates/concrete5.6.0.2/concrete/core/models/collection.php on line 239
For anyone with a little time on their hands who can throw me a bone...
