BASIC FORM, trouble uploading to set

v8. Adding a Form, but how do I allow a user to upload a file/photo to a set WITHOUT taking them to the File Manager? I do NOT want to deal with File Manager permissions for this user level. Thank you for any help. I am currently not able to allow my users the same ability to upload pdf and photo's from this form block like i had in the previous version.
I am still having trouble with this issue. Users are not able to upload pictures or files from the form block. the loading bar gets near the end but then just spins. Do I really need to allow certain users "add file" permissions for this? Hope to get a reply.

Are you using advanced permissions?
Are you using the Legacy Form block or Form block?
If you are using the Form block, there is an Answer Type called "Image/File". In the Input Format select drop-down, there is a "HTML Input" option. This doesn't appear to use the file manager.

sorry for the delay to reply, i've been dealing with a few other block issues... thank you very much for helping with this....it solved the issue...i am not fully comfortable with v8 I guess, so i might go back to the 5.6 site i still have. maybe the html option for uploading files should be the default since i think most people will naturally be using it for that....anyone agree?
