Unable to remove myself from monitored discussions

I purchased an add-on a few weeks ago and had difficulty getting it to function for me. I was monitoring their support discussions when trying to fix my issue. The issue was unresolved and I received a refund. (Thank you, great feature!) However, I'm still getting emails from the monitored support threads. Since I no longer have the license I can't get in to remove myself. The add-on author says he doesn't have any control, either.
