Updating to 5.5.1 from 5.4.1

I have auto-updated sites successfully to 5.5.1, but am having trouble with one in particular. It's running 5.4.1, but says the c5 install is up to date. When I click on the Notification to do the necessary update in order to update to 5.5.1, I get the same message that my c5 install is up to date. So no auto-update. Thoughts?
