Upload drops out at Zend

Hey,
I have been uploading the entire C5 package to a sub-domain so I can show my client work in progress.

Everything was loading fine until I hit:
concrete > concrete > libraries > 3rdparty > Zend > Search > Lucene > Analysis > Analyzer > Common > TextNum.php

This file just will NOT upload... is there a known issue here?

I also noticed that when I tried to delete the old version of C5 from the same location it got stuck on this file and I had to go in through my host control panel and physically delete the actual file, i.e not use my FTP software.

Any insight would be great.

Thanks

As it happens I cannot upload anything in the "Common" folder. I have replaced the files (locally) with brand new ones (of the same version) and no dice.... What can it be?

Ok so.. I am slowly am arrowing this down.... I know you can not comment directly on the host and I am not asking you to but... does the above files have use for multiple connections?

I get a warning through FireFTP:
"Maximum 8 connections can only be used..." why is it only these files that are asking for more connections?

I wonder if it has anything to do with the server caching old files?

Does anyone know how I can clear the cache on my server

Ok.. I am at an end... I have been trying to figure it out from 0730hrs... it's now 1953hrs!! hopefully I don't need those files. If anyone does see this and know the reason. I would love to hear...

No matter..this is just a testing server on shared hosting so...

this isn't an issue with concrete5, its an issue with your FTP client and web space. unpacked concrete5 is about 20 megs and a LOT of tiny files, so its very possible a ftp client would drop one or get stuck. this is bad. yes, the files really should be there or at best you're going to have a buggy experience.

I know a lot of people prefer uploading the archive file and then unpacking it on your server via SSH. If there's any way you can go that route, I strongly suggest it.

you were trying to upload to many files at once (8+) and the file/uploading/deleting is your hosts, this has nothing to do with c5

Hey thanks for the response, I guessed that it was not to do with C5 after some acid testing... hence why I did not expect much of a response from here.. thanks for your response though I do appreciate it.

But, I have tried to upload the individual files one by one and even downloaded FileZilla to see if that made any difference but it didn't.

I have whittled down the file to every instance of CaseInsensitive.php

Very strange...

Thanks again for looking

really you should focus on trying to get the archive file up as one beast and unpacking it for you there.. even godaddy shared hosting has a "unzipper" utility in their admin panel for this kinda thing.

or yell at your webhost to help you, that'd be good for us too.

Thank you for you comments once again.

Hopefully you will not hear from me again...
