using new native HTML5 programming language within C5

I am wondering.
I know with C5 we can place HTML code snippets inside a theme or addon page.
Just wondering if I can place complete segments native HTML5 code, just like normal.
1) edit page content.
2) open html window
3) place my native HTML5 code
4) save, close and use just like always
Does there need to be some level of extra CSS support??
Will the PHP portion of C5 recognize and use the same?? OR must there be some additional actions required??
Will any PHP code written or generated for a given program, accept and properly utilize the designed and written native HTML5 coding
