Version 5.4.0.5 - Cursor Positioning in RTE

When you edit a Block content with the Rich Text Editor, you cannot place the cursor anywhere in the edit area except at the very beginning or the very end. Once you click either of these two places, then you can place the cursor anywhere in the edit area. This was not a problem in Ver. 5.3.3.1, which I just upgraded from.

ah... so it wasn't me fooled by my cranky mouse... i had similar effects. I thought i did something wrong. (no experience with previous versions) I noticed also some quirky behavior with selecting hyperlinks. But when i think of it, it could have been the begin-or-end-click-to-edit that created the "problem"

I've got the same problem if I edit content for the second time. Only
happens in IE as far as I can see.

How can I fix this?
