Virus scanning

Hello.

I have search the forums but can't find an answer to my question.

I have a members based site built with C5 that has a forum using the "Discussions" add on from the marketplace.

When members on my site upload a file/photo to the forum for other members to look at it is saved to the "File manager" in C5 admin

My question is, Are these files also stored within my server and are they at any point scanned for virus?

Im not a expert in this area and am worried, What would happen if somebody uploaded a file with a virus attached and then another member downloaded it? and worse what if virus found its way onto my server files?

Any help is most appreciated. Thanks

there is no virus scanning built into concrete5. That's something
you'd have to speak with your webhost about running on the server.

Hi

Thanks for your advice, I have looked at my hosting company which is Hostmonster but don't see any option for me to upgrade or pay for virus protection.

I will contact their support. Thanks again
